This set begins with a true jet-black under-base. A hand laid, airbrushed tribal patterned blade graphic design done with chrome accents and effects sits on top of this. The edges of the blade artwork was then laid out again to create the bevels and shadow work. A silver Harley-Davidson shield logo is located on the front fender. And then we wet-sand the design after the last coating process to create the rich, high-gloss look.
“I spent weeks searching for the right painter to customize my 2006 Harley Street Rod. I narrowed my search to three, traded emails, conducted some phone interviews, and still didn't have the right feeling about who to go with. Then I found JE Illusions. My initial interest in JE Illusions was tied to the fact that their on-line gallery included many examples of bikes in the V-Rod family (a couple of the other guys I talked to didn't even seem to know what a VRSCR was)! I also found examples that were close to what I had envisioned for my bike, providing me with a good starting point.
“So, I got in touch with JE Illusions, traded a few emails, mocked up some photographs depicting what I was interested in having done, and within a few weeks my parts were on their way to Oregon. From that point on the entire process moved without a hitch. The designer called to discuss the entire job, ensuring that he understood my ideas. I was sent progress photos, and as the job neared completion the photos simply blew me away! When the pieces shipped I was told that the photographs really didn't do the work justice. When I received my parts I discovered they were right -- What an incredible job! My bike is now a rolling piece of art. JE Illusions captured what I wanted perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased. Since I live in Wisconsin there is a downside, the winter means that I won't be able to show it off for a few more months, but it sure looks sweet sitting in the garage!
